AgSur Reserve Force intensifies linkage with LGUs, partners

AGUSAN DEL SUR -- Administrator of the Citizen Army Soldiers in the Province of Agusan del Sur continues the conduct of courtesy visits to the different local government units and partner stakeholders.

Just recently, the Citizen Army Soldiers paid a courtesy visit to Lieutenant Colonel Michel G. Mortejo, Commanding Officer, 65 (Stalwart) Infantry Battalion, including Thelma G. Lamanilao, Municipal Mayor of Sibagat, and Efren B. Martel, School Principal of Salvacion National High School.

The purpose of the coordination was to involve the Officers from line units within the area of operation to act as Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) commandant in Higher Education Institutions (HEI's) and to strengthen the manning capability of Officers who will handle and supervise ROTC units.

Meanwhile, Lamanilao recognized the importance of reservists in times of emergency, implying that they will encourage their constituents to join the reserve force.

Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Teodoro N. Plaza, Executive Officer, 1502 Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), and a former school principal encouraged Martel to apply for commission in the reserve force considering that he is qualified.

LTC Roy B. Curilan, Director of the 1502 Community Defense Center, together with Captain Henry O. Tiu, Company Commander of Alpha Coy, covering Sibagat, Esperanza, and Bayugan City, and Technical Sergent Rebecca Remie F. Rellira, F/Sgt, Alpha Coy, took active part in the recent activity.
